notes: This puts you right there
at the show in a way the soundboard
can't. The crowd chatter is priceless.
thanks Jim Cooper!
a couple of instances of minor light
bleed through as these 43 year old
cassettes show their age.
this was a labor of love getting these
tapes to play and I hope ya'll enjoy
the music as much as Jim and I enjoy
sharing it. cheers.

The setlist doesn't match other copies of the 14 Feb 1970 show... what am I missing?

Fantastic show. I may like 1968-early '69 Dark Stars better, but I doubt there are much better '70 Dark Stars than this. The drummers are particularly impressive this show, and everyone in general is having a good night.

this was the show, or set of shows that turned me on to the boys when they compiled some tunes for bears choice from them. i found that album just before i turned 14, had no idea who these guys were but i liked the artwork on the album...dark hollow, black peter, katie mae...i was hooked, and i wondered why they played an old fifties tune like wake up little suzie, till i heard them crank it out...to this day they are still my favorite band, black peter is always a fav no matter how it was done. as for the recording, it sounds just like an echo from the past, like something out of a dream, it is what it is, a great concert, a piece of history, a slice of time. 5 stars for all the work put into this, and of course 5 stars for the biased sentiments. thank all of you great people making this archive happen. peace
